5 Eyeliner Hacks To Make Your Mornings Easier

Eyeliner making you late for work? Not anymore!

1) Use a pencil to draw a guideline

Liquid eyeliner becomes a lot easier to apply when you have an outline that can be traced over. Plus, you can do it over as many times as you like, without having to deal with the mess of the liquid.

2) Use a business card to draw the perfect cat eye

It's not simple to create a straight line freehand–even the pros would agree! Place a business card at the corner of your eye (pointing outwards towards the end of your brow) and use it as a stencil to draw the flick of the cat eye. Easy-peasy!

3) Heat up the tip of your pencil

Does the tip of your eyeliner pencil feel dry/rough? Try heating it up for 3 to 5 seconds using a hair-dryer to soften it.

4) Do the smokey eye with your eyeliner

Draw a hashtag (#) with your eyeliner pencil at the corner of your eye and smudge it with a sponge to get a super-quick smokey eye!

5) Use mascara as liner

Ladies, meet the most morning-friendly eyeliner trick ever! Use your mascara to curl your lashes and to fill your upper waterline. Press the lash wand into the roots of the lashes to deposit mascara between the lashes–it'll instantly open up the eyes.

"The antioxidant EGCG has been studied to treat various diseases and may help with brain function, fat loss, and lowering the risk of cancer," says Snyder. "Polyphenols are another antioxidant plentiful in green tea and can reduce the formation of free radicals in the body, protecting our cells from aging and other diseases." Keep your sipping to one or two cups a day as green tea is high in caffeine, which is best consumed in moderation, says Snyder. As for which to buy: "It's great to use organic loose leaf tea or tea bags that contain loose leaves, which are higher quality and are less processed," she says, as opposed to tea 'dust.'
