5 Super-Easy Home Remedies to Get Rid of Back Acne

Cos you've gotta rock your sundresses soon!

We can't wait for the summer and all the dozen summer dresses! But the summer heat means more back acne, especially if you have some seriously active sweat glands. So if you get too conscious of wearing that new floral dress or the cute cut-out bikini because of the dreaded 'bacne' then try these 5 super-easy home remedies.

Sea Salt

You literally just need about 2 cups of sea salt and some lukewarm water for this one. It's the easiest and one of the most effective ways to treat bacne. Just add some sea salt in your bath tub and mix it in with the water. And all you have to do after that is lie in the relaxing water for 20-30 minutes. You get a home spa day and an acne free back. As sea salt is amazing for drying out your body, it'll help get rid of the excess oil and toxins.

Honey and Oatmeal Mask

Put about 3 tablespoons of oatmeal to cook as you normally do, and while it's cooking add 3 tablespoons of honey to it. Once it cools down, apply the mask to your acne zones and let it try for 20 minutes. Oatmeal is an antioxidant and makes an amazing cleanser for your body. It's also good for acne anywhere on your body, not just your back.

Baking Soda Paste

Mix one tablespoon of baking soda with a little bit of water until it turns into a paste. Leave it on for about 15 minutes before you wash it off. Baking soda is known to be a natural cure for acne and pimples but too much of it can cause irritation, so don't go overboard with this one.

Most Popular

Tea Tree Oil

Mix just a tiny bit of water with some tea tree oil and using a cotton swab, dab it on to your acne spots. Do it a couple of times a day, daily. It acts as a germ-free solution and clogs the pores.

Mint Leaves Paste

Crush a handful of mint leaves and extract all the liquid from it. Then, mix it in with some water to make a paste-like-consistency. Apply it on your acne and leave it for 15 minutes before washing it off. You can even apply this up to three times a day for quick results. Mint is a helpful ingredient in evening out and soothing your skin.

The potential health benefits of drinking green tea are almost countless. "The antioxidant EGCG has been studied to treat various diseases and may help with brain function, fat loss, and lowering the risk of cancer," says Snyder. "Polyphenols are another antioxidant plentiful in green tea and can reduce the formation of free radicals in the body, protecting our cells from aging and other diseases." Keep your sipping to one or two cups a day as green tea is high in caffeine, which is best consumed in moderation, says Snyder. As for which to buy: "It's great to use organic loose leaf tea or tea bags that contain loose leaves, which are higher quality and are less processed," she says, as opposed to tea 'dust.'
