The Make-Up Trends To Try This Fall!

Not sure what's the new beauty trend for Fall/Winter? Don't fret! We have got you covered as Daniel Bauer the man behind the hottest runway looks picks the top trends you need for the new season.

[pullquote align="C"]"Across my shows, I explored five trends with my designers, playful pouts, graphic eyeliner, unconventional braids, mixed textured hair and dewy skin." says Daniel Bauer, Lakmé make-up expert[/pullquote]

PLAYFUL POUTS

At Lakmé Fashion Week Winter Festive 2015, signature lips ruled the runway. Strong playful lip pouts were the dominant beauty statement. From the Lakmé Grand Finale to Nikasha's show, Daniel created strong lips in shades of rose and scarlet, whereas for Huemn he used coral shades. For Masaba's show he used dark shades to stain the middle of upper and lower lip for a perfectly undone look. "Shades of the Lakmé Absolute Lip Pout were part of my essentials this season", says Daniel.

GRAPHIC EYES

"Graphic eyeliner is one of my favourite things. It has the power to turn a sophisticated look into punk, just with playing with the line angles", says Daniel. He experimented with different shapes and lines at Masaba, Mrinali Chandra, AM:PM shows. Across these shows no model had one identical look, as the look was tailored for each eye shape and garment the model was wearing. For graphic eyes, the most important thing is a steady hand, great eyeliner like Lakmé Absolute Gloss Artist and a precision make-up brush. Daniel created a fun and playful graphic liner with lower lid dots for some of the GenNext designers. To get the look, fill the upper lid with a matt eye-shadow and create a wingtip across the lash line and extend, out and up, using a gloss liner to create the contract. Then with the gloss liner to apply the dots. "For those who want to take the graphic eyeliner a notch further, strong brows are the new black", says Daniel.

UNCONVENTIONAL BRAIDS

With the right twist a braid can rock any catwalk. For Quirkbox, Daniel created textured bun and twisted the hair and wrapped it very tightly with elastic twine, on some models he back combed the ends and for few models he kept it smooth. For Ritu Kumar, he explored different looks from gold tattoos on the arms, legs, neck. Corn rows brought the right balance of chic and cool. To get the look, apply TRESemmé Smooth Serum to your hair, create a centre part, and divide each side into 4-5 sections vertically. Secure each section with a hair clip. Create cornrows by braiding each section close to the scalp.

DEWY SKIN

Dewy skin is a beauty statement that's apt everywhere as it works perfectly for day-to-day make-up. On the runway, it gave the models  super fresh, evenly lit-up youthful glow. From Quirkbox, to Namrata Joshipura to Manish Malhotra's, dewy hydrated skin brought a fresh elegance to the look. Before you apply your make-up, make sure you hydrate your skin. Daniel used the Lakmé Absoulte Gloss Serum on the models, for the look use the serum and once the serum is settled, start with your make-up application.

TEXTURED HAIR

Mixed textured hair is such a fantastic look to work with. Here they had looks going from super slick to textured waves. For Myoho and Ashdeen, they played with differing center-partings on the models, going with this extreme parting across the side of the face and then the hair opening up into tussled and textures waves. From the TRESemmé styling range, the hair stylists used the Sea Salt Spray, extra hold hair spray and its new shine serum. For Nikasha and Anand Kabra, they took this idea to a new place, creating services of interlacing crisscross sections on the girls hair, pulled back into a textured pony – this was achieved by sewing sections of hair together and lapping them over to create this hair mesh affect. For Munkee.See.Munkee.Doo, they created a textured bun, accompanied with two super-thin braids on either side.
