Rihanna Has Confirmed Her Beauty Line is Happening

And it's not a MAC collection.

Ever since rumours broke a year ago that Rihanna may launch her own fashion and beauty label we've been speculating as to what the makeup would involve. Not least a lilac lipstick, surely!

Well Refinery 29 probed her on purchasing the trademark for 'Fenty Beauty' (Fenty being Rihanna's legal surname) and she fessed up.

"It's something that I've always wanted to do, but I've always had so much on my hands" she revealed to the US site.

"But, this time, I'm going to make sure it happens. I'm going to find some time between albums and fragrance to do that. I promise."

Given how successful the beauty icon's past collaborations with MAC have been, her own makeup is almost guaranteed to fly off the shelves. There's no doubt we'd love a Bad Gal approved lipstick, liquid liner or foundation.

As it's all early days, the journalist went fantasy with her and here's what RiRi said she's love to invent. Money no object, we imagine.

"Lashes that could just put themselves on...lipstick that doesn't move, but doesn't dry your lips out, that you don't need a liner for. I mean, it sounds so unreal." Literally.

Bring it on!

1. Slough away dead cells to reveal softer, more luminous skin. Even if you already use a physical exfoliator (a formula boasting scrubbing beads to buff your complexion), adding a chemical exfoliator to your regimen will make a big difference in the look and feel of your skin. Once a week (or twice, depending on how sensitive your skin is), skip using your usual serum or moisturizer, and replace it with a leave-on chemical exfoliator, like Le Weekend De Chanel Weekly Renewing Face Care, which uses ingredients like glycolic acid to exfoliate your skin deeply, cleansing your pores of dirt, oil, bacteria, and debris that can lead to breakouts, and rose water to help calm the skin as the exfoliator does its work. Just remember to apply sunscreen immediately afterward, since it will make your skin sensitive to the sun's rays.
