This Beauty Blogger Claims Semen Facials Are the Secret to Her Gorgeous Skin

Beauty blogger Tracy Kiss has a common skin condition known as rosacea, and she uses an unorthodox technique to cure her rosacea: she gives herself semen facials.

In a video tutorial, Kiss first describes her condition, which causes her face to look and feel warm and sensitive.

She then explains her facial process. She gets her semen from a male friend who deposits his goodies into a Chinese takeout sauce tub and delivers it to her door. Apparently, what he eats and drinks has a big effect on the consistency, texture, and amount of semen she receives, so she monitors his diet to make sure he doesn't drink or smoke or take drugs beforehand (but she says isn't involved in the actual "harvesting").

Kiss then puts the material on her face as quickly as possible while it's still fresh, using circular motions to help it absorb better. After leaving it on for about 20 minutes, she washes it off, and voilà! Smooth, silky skin.

Kiss says she prefers to use semen because, unlike those pesky products you buy in the store, she actually knows what's in it.

"I think a lot of people are concerned with the thought of putting semen on their face, but actually it's a very natural and healthy thing to do. I know exactly what goes into this. I know there are no added chemicals, no harshness. It's as active and live and natural as you can possibly have," she says. "Semen builds babies, they come out very soft and have beautiful skin, and it leaves my skin nice and soft."

In her memoir, former Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief Helen Gurley Brown also recommends spreading semen on the face because it's "probably full of protein as sperm can eventually become babies."

According to dermatologist Doris Day, MD, semen has some good things going for it. It's an anti-inflammatory and is "designed to support the essence of life," but that's not enough for her to recommend using it on your skin.

"It's not necessarily something that can penetrate the skin in any way beyond what a regular moisturizer can do," she says. In face, it could end up making your skin drier and more irritated. "The water in the semen, as it dries off on your skin, could leave your skin drier. If you have rosacea, you should be careful." Not to mention be wary of transmitting STIs.

If you want to try an organic facial that's similar to the semen facial but more beneficial, mix an egg yolk with 2 tablespoons of honey and leave the mixture on your face for five to 10 minutes before washing it off and applying moisturizer. And if you're dealing with rosacea, Dr. Day recommends using Aveeno moisturizing lotion with oatmeal.
