10 Incredible Photos That Show How the World United Following the Paris Attacks

The world has been shaken as it's watched on with horror at the atrocities that occurred in the French capital on Friday night.

Following the brutal murders of 129 innocent people, and the injury of another 350, more light is beginning to be shed on what actually happened.

The first Brit to be announced as a casualty from the shootings is music-worker Nick Alexander from Colchester, who was 'doing what he loved best', working at the Bataclan theatre during the Eagles of Death Metal concert, when the terror attacks struck.

Today, information is beginning to be released about the identities of the killers, and the plotting behind what's now been hailed the worst terror attack in Europe for a decade.

But in amongst all the horror, it's hard not to become overwhelmed by the messages of support, love, and unity that have been delivered all across the world. From something as small as changing Facebook profile pictures to display the French flag, to capital cities lighting up their landmark buildings in the tricolour, the solidarity is clear.

Here are 10 photos which prove the world is determined to stay united and strong even in the face of such tragic adversity:
