Woman Jailed After Burning Man's Genitals With a Hot Iron During Sex

Kenya Alozie, 31, received a nine-year jail sentence for burning a U.K. man's genitals and legs with a hot iron while they had sex and then also attacking him with a broken bottle, New York Daily News reports. 

Detective Constable Duncan Clark from Greenwich Police says Alozie's attack was "calculated and pre-planned," and that she made sure she had both weapons nearby to "strike the victim and seriously harm him." The victim, also in his 30s, had to undergo several operations after he was left with multiple burns and cuts. He is currently in recovery. 

According to Metropolitan Police, Alozie was to return to Nigeria at the end of May due to her visa expiring, but she was fortunately arrested on May 24 while on a plane at Heathrow Airport just before she could leave the U.K. 

Clark added that the nine-year sentence "clearly reflects the seriousness of this extremely violent attack."
