Could This Acne Cover-Up Technique Change Your Life?

Acne doesn't GAF who it targets. Adolescent, adult, gal or guy we can all suffer – but can all cover it, too. With the right tekkers and tools, that is.

While many a makeup guru will advise sticking to the rule of starting your foundation application from the centre of the face and blending outwards, blogger The Beauty Boy shared with us his new technique, the 'target, and blend' method. Kinda like the 'bend and snap' – it "works every time", as Legally Blonde's Maurice would confirm.

Using a full-coverage foundation (not a concealer) and a new generation complexion sponge he targets areas of concern first to get maximum coverage there, blending the base out towards the surrounding patches of good skin leaving the overall finish ultra natural-looking.

Essentially it's about covering acne without having to plaster your whole face in makeup. "I've seen too many YouTube videos whereby people promise to cover acne, yet their 'after' pictures are so airbrushed it's beyond belief!" he says. His transformation, however, is pretty impressive.

With the trend for real skin textures being so focal this year (soz contouring), for those of us not blessed with #nomakeupselfie worthy skin, this is a nifty way to conceal without caking. And if the boys can pull it off – we defo can too.
