Fret not, a scientific study has revealed that one can actually lose weight by consuming this DIY drink thrice everyday. And yes, this two ingredient concoction has wine.

According to research wine contains a plant-derived chemical, called resveratrol. This chemical works like magic when it comes to burning belly fat and decreasing inflammation associated with obesity. It only reduces abdominal fat, but also helps to prevent heart disease. In August 2003 edition of the "Journal of Nutrition" effects of drinking patterns on abdominal fat accumulation was published. It was observed that wine drinkers who drank at least one drink daily showed the lowest amount of abdominal height.

The second ingredient of this DIY drink is garlic. This super food is know as a medicinal plant that has plenty of benefits. In the year 2011, Journal of Nutrition published the findings of Korean researchers regarding weight loss after consumption of garlic. The authors wrote that the reduced body weight "reflected a marked antiobesity effect of garlic."

To make this DIY drink just add finely chopped cloves of garlic in 500 grams of wine. Store it in a glass jar and leave it in the sun for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, strain the concoction and store it in a dark glass bottle.
