According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Anushka's father, Colonel (Retd.) Ajay Kumar Sharma gifted the couple a book of poem. Colonel Sharma and his wife Ashima Sharma attended the launch of Tejaswini Divya Naik's book which is a collection of love poems. They picked up a signed copy for their son-in-law, Virat Kohli.

The newly weds are such a big fan of poetry that their return gift for all the guests who attended the wedding was an anthology of Rumi's poems.
