Fawad Khan to Play Deepika Padukone's Husband On Screen...

​Ever since Deepika Padukone walked the ramp with Fawad Khan for Manish Malhotra at the recently concluded India Couture Week, we'd been secretly wishing that the two work together. And it seems like Sanjay Leela Bhansali heard our prayers and answered them! The director-producer had been looking for someone to play Deepika's husband for his next film Padmavati, but hadn't managed to find anyone who'll be willing to take up the role of the second lead since the film also stars Ranveer Singh. Bhansali had approached Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Ali Zafar for the same role as Deepika wanted a leading actor to play the part of her husband.

According to a source, "Bhansali wants 200 days from all his lead actors, including Ranveer Singh (who plays Alauddin Khilji) and Deepika (Padmavati). Fawad has those days to spare." And we are only two glad...oh, how good both of them will look together!
