Fantastic Beasts Wins the First Oscar For Harry Potter

Harry Potter has never won an Oscar! Siriusly? But Granger things have happened, we suppose.

Potterheads, you can finally forgive the Academy because last night 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' finally brought the Oscar home for the Harry Potter film franchise!

The film, a prequel to the eight original films based on J.K. Rowling's book series beat Jackie and La La Land to bag the award for Best Costume Design.

Colleen Atwood, who designed the magical 20th century pieces was shocked, she wasn't expecting to be up on stage. "Sting told me I was going to win tonight, I didn't believe him," she told the audience in her acceptance speech.
