Fans Reveal What It's Like to Meet Katrina Kaif in Person

It's always lovely to hear about personal experiences fans have had with their celebrity idols. But like they say, "You should never meet your heroes." While some have amazing experiences they hold on to for life, some are incredibly disappointed at how their idols turn out.

But in the digital age, everyone already knows everything they have to know about Bollywood stars. Recently, on Quora, someone put up a question asking, "what it's like to meet Katrina Kaif?" Here are some of the answers that came in, the reactions are pretty mixed, some were pleasant and some, not so much. But it is the Internet, so we can never be too sure that it's legit. So don't let this stop you from having high hopes from your celebrity role models.

1. Who almost got beaten up by the police for her:

"Despite so many police guards , I made my way to the place she was sitting, before her act. I was actually very near her, but she just kept her head down, doing something constantly on the phone, which later a newspaper said that she was playing Candy Crush. I stood there still just watching her constantly (she's so beautiful) and inside me a song was being played – "Tera Dhyan kidhar hai k tera hero idhar hai" (Where's your concentration, when your hero is right here).

But just then we were shooed away immediately from that place. There was even a chance of me getting beaten up by a police stick, but I just ran away.

I also came to know that she denied everybody pictures and autographs,so much so, that she even rejected our S.D.M and his wife's request for a pic."

2. Who was wayyy too happy that she made eye-contact:

"I was working as a Copywriter for an ad agency in Mumbai, which had a jewellery client, a sponsor for the movie, Love Story 2050. The movie starred Priyanka Chopra, but Katrina Kaif was a guest at the event, because back in 2008, she had replaced Aishwarya Rai as the brand ambassador, so the brand wanted to showcase her. I didn't meet her, but after her short stage appearance, when she was leaving, she left through the room where I was standing, she looked at me for a moment as she walked by, she was smiling, wow she was (and is) so beautiful. That's it. Nothing special, but hey, SHE LOOKED AT ME! :)"

3. Who didn't wash his hands after shaking hers:

"My friend was such a fan of Katrina that he asked guards to if he could shake her hand, just once. He was also ready to pay a handful sum of money to the guards, but they still didn't allow him. He kept arguing with them, and a guard began to scold him loudly, "How dare you? You offer me in black its crime bla bla…" The crowd's attention turned to this, and everybody began to look in their direction. Katrina noticed, and asked the guard what the matter was. He told her that the boy was arguing to meet her once and wasn't even ready to move. Katrina called him and personally shook his hands, and even took a selfie with him. From then on, he didn't wash his right hand for two months, he ate with a spoon during this period... also his selfie is saved in every cloud storage, google drive, dropbox etc."

4. Who ran into Katrina and Ranbir in Amsterdam:

"A friend of mine met her and Ranbir in a mall, on the outskirts of Amsterdam. She used to be a huge Katrina fan back then. She got so excited, she went up to both of them, and asked for a selfie with Katrina. Not only did Katrina give her a stare down in reply to her, 'Hi, I'm a huge fan', but she also refused to have her picture clicked. Ranbir proactively offered my friend a selfie, clearly embarrassed by his GF's rude behaviour. Before my friend took left, Kaif also refused to give her an autograph."

5. Who definitely didn't have a pleasant on-flight experience with Katrina:

"Once my roomie told me about her flight experience with Katrina Kaif, and it's really not good. She is not so friendly. My roomie is an air hostess with Jet Airways. She said whenever Katrina boards a flight, she sits with her manager, and she doesn't talk to anyone, and that her manager speaks in her behalf.

If air hostess come to greet her, or ask her about her food preference, she simply turns to her manager instead of talking to the flight attendant directly. She tells her food preference to her manager, who would then convey it to the air hostess even. She does that, even if she just wants water. This is really so rude.

Once Katrina lashed out at an air hostess, just because she was woken up from her sleep, and asked to fasten her seatbelt. She said 'How dare you touch me? You are just an air hostess, the salary you earn is just a small amount, which I spend in one day blah blah!!' The crew was shocked and surprised by this. She was also black listed from Jet Airways for her rude behaviour towards the staff. Even though she is a celebrity, this is not the way to talk to anyone. She doesn't even allow people to take pictures or give autographs to her fans."
