Kangana Ranaut, brought the topic of 'nepotism' to light in the film industry, and the topic has been trending ever since.
All the Bollywood stars have come under scrutiny, ever since Kangana's bold statement. At every press conference, the actors were asked with the same impending question, "Does nepotism exist in the industry?"
The industry was divided on the topic, while some agreed, some others strongly disagreed.
The next actor to be questioned on nepotism, was none other than Bollywood and Hollywood sweetheart, Priyanka Chopra. People have been curious to know, what this confident actor thinks about nepotism, considering her success, and considering that she doesn't belong to a film background.
Priyanka finally gave us some closure, and in an interview with a leading tabloid. She admitted that nepotism exists, and she herself has faced it.
She said, "All kinds exist. There is nothing wrong in being born into a family that has a legacy. Outsiders don't have a foot-in-the-door access. Star kids have an insurmountable pressure of living up to the family name. Every star has their individual journey.
"In mine, I have faced a lot. I have been kicked out of films because someone else was recommended to the producer. I cried and got over it. Eventually, those who are meant to be success stories become that, despite all hindrances."
And look at where she is now...
Well said, Priyanka! 🙏
