If wedding vows make you tear up, good luck getting through these.

When Emily Leehan, a senior airman in the Air Force, married US Marine Corps Sergeant Joshua Newville last weekend at Quincy Cellars in New York, she also recited a list of separate vows to Newville's four-year-old son, Gage.

"I want you to be safe, and to try your hardest and to be a good person," Leehan told Gage as he became overwhelmed with emotion and started to cry. Thankfully the sweet moment was all captured by their wedding photographer.

"I know that you and I will butt heads," Leehan continued while Gaged hugged her and continued to cry. "But I hope with all my heart that as you become a grown man you will understand my methods and realize I have only done what is best for you and that I love you."

"You have helped make me into the woman that I am today, and I may not have given you the gift of life, but life surely gave me the gift of you," Leehan finished as she bent down to give Gage a hug and a kiss.

Gage stood by her side as his father recited his own vows to Leehan, and she eventually ended up holding him at the end of the ceremony.

"When she started reciting the vows, that's when the emotion took over and he lost it," Newville told ABC News. "The whole day was pretty emotional, so I was just trying to keep myself together and keep him together."

Since the newlywed couple are still on active duty, they are postponing their honeymoon to return to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey, according to ABC News.
