Dil Dhadakne Do
Ranbir Kapoor was offered Ranveer Singh's role, but he declined it as he was busy with Bombay Velvet. Coincidentally, the role went to Ranveer Singh instead, who was also offered Bombay Velvet.
The other lead character ie., Priyanka Chopra's role was also supposed to be played by Kareena Kapoor. But, as soon as Ranbir Kapoor left the movie, Kareena also declined it because she didn't want to play Ranveer's sibling. We wonder why..?
Dil Chahta Hai
Farhan Akhtar's first choice for the main leads were Akshaye Khanna, Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan. When Hrithik turned down the offer, it went to Abhishek Bachchan who also didn't show much interest. It finally went to Aamir Khan, who accepted and brought the role of Akash Malhotra to life.
Can you even imagine Abhishek Bachchan or Hrithik Roshan in this role? Nah.
Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham
Okay, you might need to watch the scene again to realize what you missed. Aryan Khan, Shah Rukh's son, played SRK's childhood in the opening credits. Yes, he's the one running and playing with Jaya Bachchan in one scene. Now that was quite a debut. Like father, like son, eh!
If things had worked out, we could have seen John Abraham playing the role of Kareena's college friend, Robbie. He declined the role way before his debut in Bollywood.
Kal Ho Naa Ho
Kareena Kapoor has declined many roles in her career. The character Naina in the movie was written keeping Kareena in mind. When she turned down the offer, it went to Preity Zinta. Preity even won Best Actress award for the role. All we'd like to say is Oopsie!
Remember the beautiful New York skyline in the introduction shot of Naina, it would have been Toronto instead. The ongoing SARS scare made the makers move the location from Toronto to New York.
Main Hoon Naa
Zayed Khan was launched in Farah Khan's Main Hoon Naa. What many people don't know is that it could have been Farhan Akhtar's launch movie.
Farah Khan herself tweeted this next fun fact. We're pretty sure it wasn't any fun while it happened.
