Priyanka Chopra has taken the West by storm. The actor has been highly appreciated for her performance in Quantico and Baywatch, which is yet to release in India on June 2. Priyanka is representing India globally with grace. The amount of hard work she has done, has completely paid off.
And now an award show has created a special category just to honour Priyanka Chopra.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Award, which apparently has no connection with the actual Dadasaheb Phalke awards, has introduced the International Icon Award, to honour Priyanka for her commendable work in Quantico and Baywatch.
The award committee chairman told Mumbai Mirror, "Priyanka's hard work has earned her a spot on an international platform. She's made Indians proud by representing the country on a global level. This compelled us to introduce this fresh category."
Well deserved. Isn't it?
