Beyoncé's Mom Confirms That Sir Carter Makes the Same Mean Faces That Jay-Z Does

Since sharing the first photo of Rumi and Sir Carter back in July (they were born in June), Beyoncé and Jay-Z have mostly kept the twins out of the public eye. Thankfully, proud grandma Ms. Tina Knowles is here to field pressing questions like, "How much do they look like their parents?" In the case of Sir, apparently the answer is "a lot." When Us Weekly asked Tina if she thought Rumi and Sir looked at all like her, she replied, "The boy has a stare, like a mean mug, like Jay sometimes, which is so cute, and the girl, she's just so happy all the time and so sweet."

This tracks with what Jay-Z has previously said about his son, who according to the rapper was actually named Sir because of his personality. "Sir was like, man, come out the gate," he explained. "He carries himself like that. He just came out, like, Sir." Though this statement sounded absurd at first, a paparazzi photo of the babies confirmed that Sir does indeed live up to his name and is probably already challenging his father to rap battles over breakfast. Pray that 2018 brings further photographic evidence of Sir being a Sir.
