7 Locations That Made It To Your Travel Bucket List All Thanks To Bollywood

1. Nahargarh fort, Jaipur

Jaipur, a.k.a 'The Pink City of India' is home to majestic forts and palaces. Bollywood is not unaware of the enigma this city enveloped in tradition contains. That must be the reason why so many film makers try to capture it in their movies. This iconic scene from the movie, Rang De Basanti where Aamir Khan and Sharman Joshi drank beer and jumped into the lake was filmed here.

2. Jaigarh fort, Jaipur

Shahid Kapoor played the role of Maharawal Ratan Singh in the movie, Padmaavat. His character's fort shown in the movie is actually Jaigarh Fort in Jaipur and not in Chittor.

3. Pangong lake, Ladakh

After Kareena Kapoor Khan was seen riding a yellow scooter at this serene location, it overnight became a tourist spot. Even the extreme weather conditions don't discourage fans to visit this icy cold lake.

4. Doraha Fort, near Ludhiana

This fort is one of those hidden gems that Bollywood introduced to the world. A group of friends running through the field as airplanes zoom over them was definitely one of the sensational scenes in the movie, Rang De Basanti.

5. Forest Research Institute, Dehradun

Karan Johar's movie, Student Of The Year was a grand launch for Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan. When the movie was so grand, the location had to be opulent as well. Karan chose Dehradun's FRI to become SOTY's Saint Teresa High School.

6. Hadimba Mandir, Manali

7. Fort Aguada, Goa
