10 Times Bollywood Celebs Got Robbed

1. Amitabh Bachchan

A high-end security that functions 24x7 could not save Amitabh Bachchan's house 'Jalsa' from the clutches of a thief. Reportedly, the accused identified as Deepak Kewat, managed to steal Rs. 8,000 but was caught by the guards just in the nick of time. He was kept in police custody for 14 days hence. Not just this, Mr. Bachchan had to face trouble even with International airlines, when his entire luggage went missing while he was on his 'Unforgettable' tour via the British Airways, while en route Toronto from London.

2. Ajay Devgn and Kajol

Nobody can trust domestic help, not even celebrities. Kajol and Ajay Devgan had to face the brunt of a robbery at the hands of their own house-help named Gayatri Devendra and Santosh Pandey, who were arrested at the Juhu Police Station. They tried to steal 17 gold bangles worth Rs. 5 lakhs when they were hired few days before Karva Chauth celebrations for some cleaning work.

3. Saif Ali Khan

The Nawab of Pataudi also faced his share of theft when his own servants robbed him off 11 split A.C.s from his production house, Illuminati Films, in 2014. An FIR was lodged with Khar police station.

4. Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra

The couple known for their uber-luxe lifestyle, Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra were robbed of an expensive audio system along with an iPod once.

5. Sushmita Sen

Her story will definitely send chills down your spine, and make you think twice before venturing abroad! Back in 2012, when Sushmita Sen was on an exotic vacay in Greece, she was robbed off her belongings at the Athens airport, left with nothing except the ensemble she was wearing! She faced a lot of trouble till she finally managed to call someone back in India and her lawyer somehow got her back home.

6. Dino Morea

Believe it or not, the actor was robbed of some valuables when he was fast asleep. He even tweeted, "Excuse my language, but the thief had the b*lls to come into my bedroom, while I was asleep." Hard to keep from laughing, this is a serious case. But honestly, he sure had some guts to do that.

Two years ago, the fashion queen of Bollywood had a precious diamond necklace stolen in her own residence. It was reportedly worth Rs 5 lakh, and went missing from her bedroom drawer where she had kept it after she donned it for a party the same night. It was never found!

Arpita Khan, Salman Khan's sister was robbed too, when her husband was travelling abroad. Reportedly,Rs 2.25 lakh cash and valuables worth Rs 3.25 lakhs along with a 10 gm gold coin and some designer clothes were stolen.

9. Katrina Kaif

Amitabh Bachchan wasn't the only celeb who was robbed off his luggage while travelling by air. Apparently, Katrina Kaif too lost her bag full of costumes while shooting for Singh is King worth Rs 72 lakhs while they were returning from their shoot in Australia. Despite a lot of search, the missing bag containing 85 costumes could not be located and was deemed stolen. The director Anees Bazmi had issued a statement, "We were in a terrible situation and were left with no other choice but to recreate the costumes all over again." However, Katrina and her designer got together and recreated them by referring to the footage that was shot in Australia.

10. Mallika Sherawat

Rumour has it that the actor was beaten and robbed by 3 masked intruders outside her apartment in Paris, where Mallika was with a local friend. The criminals wore scarves across their faces and without saying a word, sprayed their victims with tear gas before punching them!
