Here's How Former Miss World Priyanka Chopra Congratulated Manushi Chhillar For Her Historic Win

Priyanka Chopra paved her road to success when she won the Miss World crown in 2000, and from thereon, conquered Bollywood and Hollywood. Surprisingly, after that, not once did the Miss World crown come back to India—until now. As you'd probably know, Manushi Chhillar became the 6th Indian to win the prestigious pageant, after a hiatus of 17 years! Which means she was 3 when PeeCee actually won the title back in '00!

It was no surprise that the country erupted in applause and appreciation for this iconic moment and there was an overflow of wishes for the 20 year old beauty—including one from her predecessor.

An excited and super-proud Priyanka Chopra took to Twitter to congratulate the girl who won the Miss World after her, and their conversation is a precious moment for the beauty world.

When she was crowned, an overwhelmed Manushi expressed her immense joy and gratitude—

"The feeling is still sinking in and very excited to make India proud too. I'm also looking forward to the year ahead. My parents have always been my pillar of support and having them here tonight by my side has only brought me more strength and joy. My final answer also came to me by having them here with me in front of me."

Well, this young doctor-in-the-making has surely achieved a remarkable feat and one can't wait for her talent to be unleashed upon us, hopefully on the silver screen?!
