Not satisfied with following the trend of all those magical "100 Years" videos about beauty trends, professional makeup artist Lisa Eldridge took her video to a whole new level. In about six minutes, she chronicled the best and laughably worst makeup trends for women from the past 5,000 years. Eldridge, author of "FacePaint: The Story of Makeup," really knows her makeup history too, which makes this video particularly fascinating for those interested in how each generation came up with those often bizarre-looking faces. Also, big high-five to all those Victorian ladies pinching the hell out of their cheeks and licking colored wrapping paper so they could apply "secret" lipstick. When it comes to makeup, we've always been resourceful.
