Galaxy hair is AWESOME

We've seen the sand art tress trend, My Little Pony locks and now 'galaxy hair', the latest movement among the colour-change addicts out there. This one's a goodie.

Inspired by the planets and outer space, picture swirls of starlight skies in blues, purples, reds and burnt oranges. The results of cosmic colouring are all over Instagram - and beyond:

The trend for bold, but flowing tones came from America, but high maintenance hair devotees here have been quick to catch on.

Of course, it requires bleaching the hair first, so is no quick mane makeover. But with 'wonder' treatments like Olaplex popping up in salons nationwide that claim to repair hair damage from colouring, the world (or should we say solar system) is your oyster to experiment like these ladies without the worry.
