If You Post ~Inspirational~ Quotes Regularly on Social Media, then You're "Not Intelligent"

​Instagram is about as awash with wanky, ~inspirational~ quotes as it is avocado on toast or Kim Kardashian's latest selfies. And we've ALL either got a handful of friends who are all over that shizz, or we're guilty of it ourselves. (Sue us, sometimes they just speak to us.)​

Well, newsflash, apparently if this be you, then you be dumb.

According to a (weird) Canadian study from the University of Waterloo titled 'On the reception and detection of pseudo-profound bullshit', people who are receptive to said "pseudo-profound, intellectual-sounding 'bullshit'" are "less intellegent, less reflective, and more likely to believe in conspiracy theories, the paranormal and alternative medicine."

Yikez. CIVILISATION IS DOOMED.
