10 of the Most 'WTF Do They Mean' Lyrics of 2015

As 2015 comes to an end and we prepare for all those 'Big Fat Quiz Of The Year' things - which seem to exist purely to remind us how bad our memory is - Google reveals the most searched lyrics of the year..

1. Adele - 'Hello'

Namely because she surprised us all with a single teaser during an X Factor ad break, but also because WHEN THE F DOES SHE SAY 'OTHERSIDE' AND WHEN DOES SHE SAY 'OUTSIDE'? IT'S CONFUSING AND EVEN AFTER 8,000 STREAMS WE STILL DON'T KNOW THE ANSWER.

2. Hozier - 'Take Me To Church'

Considering it was one of the most popular songs of the year, we still don't have a bloody clue what Hozier's going on about most of the time - and is he saying being a giggle at a funeral is a good thing? What does a giggle at a funeral even mean?

3. Ed Sheeran - 'Thinking Out Loud'

Listen Ed, we know you're Mr Romantic and have a soft heart like a marshmellow yada yada yada, BUT YOU CAN'T JUST STOP LOVING SOMEONE WHEN THEY'RE 70. What about when you're 71? Or if you fall in love before you're 23? Go and sit in the corner and think about what you've done, you big meany.

4. Drake - 'Hotline Bling'

Turns out people weren't just Googling 'Hotline Bling' to see Drake's genius dad-dancing, but they quite fancied finding out what his girl was doing with all the things he taught her. Turns out she was 'gettin' nasty'.

5. Taylor Swift - 'Blank Space'

Ahh, Taylor Swift and her Starbucks lovers. (Side note: what do you think her opinion on Red Cups are?)

6. Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars - 'Uptown Funk'

The majority of the lyrics were made up of 'Uptown Funk' and 'gon' give it to ya', so we can only imagine people were absolutely STUMPED by the Michelle Pfeiffer reference. Same, tbh.

7. Wiz Khalifa ft. Charlie Puth - 'See You Again'

On a sad note, this high ranking might have something to do with the fact 'See You Again' by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth was written about the late Paul Walker.

8. Fetty Wap - 'Trap Queen'

So when he says he introduced her to his stove, does that mean he walked up to an AGA and asked her to shake hands with it or something? Not massive sure what 87% of the lyrics in this song mean, and we're not sure we even want to.

9. The Weeknd - 'The Hills'

If we asked Google what these lyrics mean, we're assuming we'd get a sassy answer along the lines of 'He's going to let her know something, which will make it simple. He can't keep it up, which makes things less than simple.'

10. OMI - 'Cheerleader'

OI OI he's got the magic wand and he's a wizard of love. Who needs Google when you've got innuendo game like that?
