Asian Women Watched Asian Porn and Really Hated It

Buzzfeed asked a group of Asian women to watch porn that featured Asian women and you can probably guess the results. "People are going to be dropping some 'love you long times,'" one participant woefully predicted. It actually got much, much worse. 

"Just looking at these titles, it already looks pretty terrible," noted another. Yeah, The Asian Babysitter Is Scared and Sharon Lee, the Maid Who Knows How to Please don't seem like they're going to go in a very good direction. As you can guess, the movies they watch are filled with a bunch of stereotypes about Asian women. The first video featured a girl in her twenties dressed like a school girl with pigtails; another movie featured an Asian woman who doesn't speak English and can only say: "Sex. I want sex."

Mostly, it's just a horrifying experience for the participants. 

But there's a bigger point behind the video experiment. "If you don't grow up in a diverse area, and you're only exposed to Asian women through your media or through your porn, you're going to have a super warped idea of what it means to be an Asian woman," said one viewer. And that's why these things matter.
