Woman Allegedly Attacked Corpse of Boyfriend's Ex at Funeral Home

Shaynna Smith is being charged with illegal dissection of a human body after she allegedly used a box cutter to cut the corpse of her boyfriend's ex, Fox 23 reports. Smith allegedly went into the funeral home and cut the face and hair of the deceased, as well as smudged her makeup.

The dead woman's mother says she saw Smith with her hands in the casket, and noticed the cut hair and face and smudged makeup after Smith left. Police found Smith at the deceased woman's home; she had apparently told the woman's son she was there to pick up some jewelry for the funeral. Police said Smith and the women were "frenemies" and the woman used to date Smith's boyfriend, but they are unclear on the motive behind the alleged cutting.
