Facebook Launches Video Birthday Message Option

Today, Facebook is launching "birthday cam," a new feature that allows you to record up to a 15-second birthday video message for your friends, a Facebook representative said. While you'll still have the option to wish Becky happy birthday with the same regular post, you can now select the video recording option as well. the feature is restricted for iOS users.

Once you go to your friend's profile, just tap the new video prompt (as pictured below) and do your thing. There are also festive birthday decorations to add to your post as well.

Exciting! Instead of now sifting through 146 "Happy birthday!" messages at 12:01 a.m. the day after your birthday, you can easily pick out which of your Facebook friends really loves you … because nothing says "I love you" quite like "Oh, shit I forgot it was your birthday, here is my face on your page to make up for it."
