This Puppy Wearing Braces Will Absolutely Destroy You

This is Wesley, a happy and adorable 6-month-old golden retriever​ from Spring Lake, Michigan.

Wesley's human Molly Moore works at a veterinary clinic owned by her dad, Jim Moore. The Moores noticed something was wrong with Wesley after he lost his teeth and wasn't able to close his mouth fully because of the way his new teeth were growing in. 

Molly told BuzzFeed News that once this happened, Wesley started losing weight and wasn't playing with his toys. "We needed to do something for him to be pain-free and live a happy puppy life." Um, yes! All of the puppies need to live a #HappyPuppyLife.

Since Wesley is the granddog of a specialist in veterinary dentistry, the solution was obvious: puppy braces! 

Jim told BuzzFeed News that this technique can help animals with dental problems and that it's not for aesthetics, it's for "pain or function." Molly also emphasized that this isn't just for looks. "[People] think we did this so he won't get picked on in the playground, but there's a serious medical reason." 

You know, when I had braces I did not look nearly as cute as Wesley. He's so cute that since photo was posted on Facebook, he's gotten over 288,000 shares. Hope your teeth feel better and you can live your happiest puppy life soon, Wesley!
