Here's What Happened When Sasha Obama Met Ryan Reynolds

​All manner of Canadian heartthrobs descended upon the White House yesterday, not least among them Ryan Reynolds, who had a very attractive brodown with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at the State Dinner. The ​Deadpool​ star referred to Trudeau as "one helluva hugger" in the Instagram caption for this photo, which we should all just take in for a moment and enjoy.

As Reynolds went down the receiving line, he also greeted First Daughters Malia and Sasha Obama, and official White House photographer Pete Souza was there to capture the moment on camera.

Here is Sasha, clearly enjoying the fact that she is chatting with a movie star. Here also is older sister Malia, making the greatest "I support you" face of all time and throwing Sash two big thumbs up.

The Obama girls have met dignitaries, world leaders, Beyoncé, and yet they're freaking the freak out over Ryan Reynolds. I mean, wouldn't you? But also, so cute.

They held it together for the rest of the dinner, waltzing through the White House in their glamorous Naeem Kham gowns. It might have been their first State Dinner, but they sure looked like pros.
