When the country was at Twitter about television actor Pratyusha Banerjee taking her life, the question of suicide among actors and the pressure that leads to it is a pretty hot topic.
And from the woodwork, Priyanka Chopra's ex-manager Prakash Jaju has emerged with a claim that Priyanka, the superwoman currently spearheading a million Hollywood and Bollywood projects, and entering them in the capacity of not just 'actor' but 'entrepreneur' also at one point attempted suicide.
His Twitter posts allege that, in the early days of her burgeoning career, the actor attempted to kill herself in the midst of a bout of depression, and it was said manager Prakash Jaju who stepped in at the nth minute and saved the day.
His Twitter Posts on the subject have now been removed, but alleged that she was incredibly depressed and was on the verge of killing herself by hurling herself out of the window when Jaju arrived and tied her to chair to restrain her, while grills were fixed on her windows.
We're not quite sure how to react to the allegations (because the actor has confirmed nothing right now), but it definitely does shed a lot of light on the horrifying rigours of struggling to make it as an actor.
