This Adorable Pair of 90-Year-Olds Went on a Ridiculously Cute Blind Date

If you've ever felt like giving up on love while swiping through an infinite sea of humans on Tinder, a recent story that's gone viral on Facebook might just give you some hope.

Last weekend, 93-year-old Miriam Steiner and 90-year-old Harold Sharlin were set up on a blind date at the Politics & Prose bookstore and cafe in Washington, D.C. The date was planned by the latter's granddaughter, Jenny, after she waited on Steiner at her restaurant job and decided the two would be a perfect match. Both widowers, Steiner and Sharlin decided there would be no harm in meeting up for lunch — and once there, the staff was so smitten by the date that they asked if they could take a picture for their Facebook.

According to TODAY, the two "spent the whole afternoon together" and had a "very pleasant" time. While there's no word yet on whether there'll be a Date #2, both were very open about how happy they were to have found someone new to talk with.

"It's very unusual," Steiner told TODAY. "We're both in our 90s. We're both handicapped. Neither of us drive ... It's not easy, making connections as a senior, but we need it. It's up there with Medicare and Social Security. I hope people remember that."
