The Inexpensive Hack That'll Give You Better Hair (Instantly)

Do you ever find yourself looking at someone with ah-mazing hair and wondering just what kind of wizardry is going on there...? How are their strands so smooth, so shiny?

That's why when we heard about a hack that could give us better hair - and would barely cost a thing - we were ALL ears.

Yup, after sitting down with hair expert and Trichologist, Sally-Ann Travers, she gave us a clever hack for when our locks need a bit of a boost.

Sally recommended rinsing hair with apple cider vinegar. Yep, it sounds random, we know - but stay with us.

"Apple cider vinegar removes product build up and leaves hair shinier" she explained. Interesting, right?

Product can easily begin to build up on strands, the main culprits being heavy styling products like dry shampoo and hairsprays. Whilst silicones in certain shampoo and conditioner formulas can also build up on hair and leave tresses looking lank and dull.

"Being acidic it closes the hair cuticle enabling better light reflection (aka, shine)" Sally-Ann revealed.

The best bit? Apple cider vinegar is HELLA cheap, think, pocket-money prices people.

Now before you go dousing your lengths in the stuff, here's how to use it, properly. "For the cider vinegar method, dilute 1 part apple cider vinegar in 10 parts water. Then rinse your hair in it and leave the water on your strands for 5 minutes. Afterwards, rinse well and then wash your hair as usual."

There you have it, mega-watt shiny strands ✨✨
