Liquid Lipstick as Eyeliners? Here's How You Can Do it

Put down your eye pencils peeps. Because the people of the Internet have come up with a whole new way to wear liner, and there are zero pens or kohls in sight.

All you need? A liquid lipstick.

First spotted on Instagram (where else?) the trend has seen beauty bloggers and make-up artists begin to use their matte liquid lipsticks as eyeliner.

The trick to nailing a flawless flick with a liquid lipstick is to deposit a bit of the product on the back of your hand first. Then use a sharp angled brush, like Zoeva's 317 Wing Liner Brush, £8, to paint on your wing.

Finish by patting on a translucent powder to the set the liner in place and you're good to go.

Opt for a matte liquid lipstick as opposed to glossy formulas - which are prone to movement, and you know what that means? It'll crease like crazy. Not fun.

Beauty blogger, Angela Cuneo, used the Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Scorpio to add a bit of colour to her neutral eyeshadow. Whilst make-up artist, Francesca Ronco, blended a touch of lipstick with her regular black gel liner to create a cool ombre effect.

The rusty, off-red shade worked a treat for brightening up blue eyes. If you're wary of looking OTT, go for a half-lined eye instead of a full-on flick.
