Lacking in Confidence? Follow This Morning Routine

What's your morning routine? Snooze in a huddled ball until you know you HAVE to get up or waking up with a good morning stretch?

Well if you do the latter then according to Harvard psychologist Amy Cuddy you're doing the right thing.

The psychologist has said that, before getting out of bed, we should all stretch our bodies as much as possible.

From Amy's research, which she talks about in detail in her book, Presence: Bringing Your Boldest Self to Your Biggest Challenges, she's found that posture can influence people's thoughts and emotions.

She believes that waking up, all curled up in a ball, could have a negative impact on our emotions. And believes that those who wake up and stretch will feel more confident about the day ahead.

And it will affect our happiness levels too. Amy said that those who wake up with a great stretch are 'super happy, like annoyingly happy'.

'If you sleep in a fetal ball, we have some preliminary evidence that people who wake up like that wake up much more stressed out,' Amy also said.

Recent research also said that we should  sleep with the window open. Being cold while sleeping can apparently help with obesity levels.
