Bad News, Guys. The iPhone 4 Has Been Made Obsolete as of Today

It's over. The iPhone 4 dream is over because Apple has made that bad boy obsolete as of today.

What that means is that Apple has added it to their official list of obsolete products, which is where they put all their products that haven't been manufactured in the last seven years. If something hasn't been made for five years, it just goes on a 'vintage' list. But it's time for the 4 to make its move from vintage to obsolete…

The company will no longer offer service repairs on phones on the obsolete list, so try not to drop it in the bath again, yeah?

"Apple has discontinued all hardware service for obsolete products with no exceptions," the company explained on its website. Service providers cannot order parts for obsolete products."

The iPhone 4 was first released in 2010 and was succeeded by the iPhone 4S in 2011.

Apple ceased making the iPhone 4 in 2013, after it achieved the milestone of being the firm's longest serving flagship handset, racking up 15 months in the top spot. So we're not really sure how this maths works because surely that's only three years...

But don't worry, because you can still use it as a paperweight, so that's cool…
