This is the Most Likely Day of the Year People Will Cheat

When it comes to cheating, you might think there isn't an opportune time/moment/place/date to do the dirty on your partner and get with someone else.

But according to dating site Illicit Encounters, which aims to pair a married person with someone other else, there is one particular day in the year when people are most likely to cheat.

After surveying 300 people, they found that a massive 72 per cent of participants said they were most likely to cheat on November 18th - the last day they believed they could be unfaithful to their partner before festivities and Christmas begins.

WTF?

The dating site revealed it experiences 30 per cent more activity on that day than it does on any other, with a spokesperson pointing out it's probably the last day in the year when cheats have enough free time to sneak away.

Christian Grant of Illicit Encounters commented:

Unfaithful Friday, and the days that succeed it, represents the last chance an adulterer has to sneak away with their mistress. In the weeks to come, they'll simply be overwhelmed with nativity plays, Christmas shopping, decorating and of course Christmas and New Year's. Their kids will have time off from school, and their familial responsibilities will take priority.

Arguably, the result is skewed a little considering it was a limited number of people and we don't know whether it was a tick box questionnaire or otherwise, but still, quite interesting, huh?
