Gauri & Nainika X KOOVS: The Ultimate Party Shoe is Here, and It's SO Lust-Worthy

Red carpet's favourite designer sisters, Gauri and Nainika Karan have created shoes that are definitely a head-turner. What's more, they've collaborated with Koovs to let these beauts be up for grabs!

Elegant and feminine, complete with decadent embellishments, ruffles, bows and what not, this collection screams flamboyant—without making you think it's too OTT for your taste.

We caught up with Nainika Karan for a li'l inside scoop into what went behind creating this oh-so-glam collection. Read on...

Cosmo: What was the inspiration behind this collection?

Nainika Karan: "We wanted this collaboration to reflect our signature style, which features a lot of ruffles, bows, floral prints, and embellishments. We were inspired by fashion icons like Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn, and the range is all about romance and glamour."

C: How did the collab come about?

NK: "Well, after our first clothing collab with Koovs did so well, we couldn't resist coming back with a shoe collection. Plus, like every girl, we are obsessed with shoes! So when we got a chance to create something new and interesting, we jumped at the opportunity. This gave us a chance to really create the kind of shoes we're always looking out for."

C: What kind of a woman do you see wearing these shoes?

NK: "The collection features very stylish pencil heels—and we see a very glamorous, fashion-forward woman sporting them."

C: How would you wear 'em?

NK: "Well, these stilettos have that statement-making yet understated quality about them. You could dress them up or down—they'd go just as well with a fun, flirty cocktail dress as they would with a simple shirt dress or a pair of jeans."

C: What is your favourite piece from the collection?

NK: "It'll have to be the red, velvet pumps with the bow. They're so classy and versatile!"

The collection comprises of 19 styles ranging from Rs. 2,100 to Rs. 3,000 with a strong emphasis on meticulously crafted designs that exude timeless appeal—definitely a looker.
