Easy hair how-to: A half-up twisted knot

Rope braids were all over the catwalk, but we've still not moved on from The Hun (or half-bun, to me and you). Well we decided to combine the tress trends for a new take on a half-up hairstyle. So meet The Twisted Knot, which Cosmo's Bridget learnt in 5 very simple steps from Remington's stylist Sophie Kearney. Here they are:

Step one:

Section the hair starting just above the ears and meeting in the middle at the back

Step two:

Fasten the sectioned hair back with a small elastic in a half up ponytail

Step three:

Split the pony in two and twist the sections around each other creating a rope braid and then fix the end with another small elastic

Step four:

Twist the rope braid around itself, but not as tightly as you would a bun

Step five:

Knot the hair towards it's base and secure it in place with a hair pin

The finished look:
