What's the highest honour anyone can bestow upon you if you live and breathe fashion? If you get to play Coco Chanel! Karl Lagerfeld, possibly the only man who can match Coco Chanel's swag, selected Kristen Stewart from an exclusive list of muses to play the famed designer in his upcoming short film.
Kristen, who's a front-row regular at Chanel shows, has also starred in numerous campaigns for the brand. Directed by Lagerfeld himself, the film is being made for the French house's next Métiers d'Arts show. Titled Once and Forever, it retells an imaginative tale from Coco's life. Instead of going back in time, Lagerfeld's decided to show Chanel throughout various stages of her life in the context of a behind-the-scenes film set—from script meetings to costume tests including the old world charm of Hollywood and the glitz of the fashion world.
The film will be released in Rome on December 1, and will coincide with the luxury house's Métiers d'art collection presentation.
