The First Trailer for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is HERE

We're so excited, that the next few words should be read in a high-pitched squeal: the first trailer for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has finally been released. After months of dissecting behind the scenes photos and confirmed cast members, we've had a peek at the latest film that explores the Harry Potter world.

Take a look:

We wonder what kind of creatures were lurking in that magical, opened suitcase?

The movie is set 70 years before Harry Potter's story began, but JK Rowling insists that it's not a prequel to the Philosopher's Stone. Instead, it follows the story of Newt Scamander, a Magizoologist and the author of one of Hogwarts's textbooks, as he arrives at the Magical Congress of the United States of America.

As you'll spy in the trailer, Eddie Redmayne takes on the role of Newt, joining a cast that includes Colin Farrell, Samantha Morton and Katherine Waterston. Last week, Warner Bros. released an official synopsis for the movie, and it seems we're just going to have to get used to 'No-Maj', the American word for Muggle. It reads:

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident… were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt's fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.

Best of all, this is just the first movie in a magical trilogy, so there are further trips to the world of Harry Potter (sans Potter, that is) ahead of us. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them hits cinemas November 18th, 2016. Has the trailer got you excited? Let us know by tweeting us.
