How the Internet's Favorite Animal Helped This Man Propose to His Girlfriend

Since Kristen Bell shared a video of herself crying about sloths on Ellen back in 2012, the slow and long-toed animal has quickly become one of the internet's favorites. It's safe to say the web's collective adoration for sloths is unbelievably strong — but for one couple, the sloth love was so strong that the creature was literally involved in their proposal.

On Wednesday, Tampa, Florida's Walter Mccann took his girlfriend, Carly Corvin, on a date to Busch Gardens. Unbeknownst to Carly, however, Walter had something very special in mind for their trip: a surprise meeting with Harry, the theme park's famous two-toed sloth.

After the pair got to meet him, a Busch Gardens employee asked if Carly might like to feed him — and when Walter lifted up the top off Harry's plate, "Will you marry me?" was written in various vegetables.

Of course, Carly said yes — because how can you say no to a sloth proposal?! Their friends and family then revealed that they'd been hiding in the wings waiting the whole time, and they all celebrated together.

"I told him before that if he proposed with a sloth, there was no way I could say, 'no.' So, he took my good advice," Carly told Fox 13 News. "This is literally the best day of my life for ... everything!"

I'm pretty sure Walter just raised the bar (and branch) on incredible proposals.
