The Weird Thing You Didn't Notice in the New Royal Family Portrait

Remember that adorable family portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and her many grandchildren? Then you definitely remember a certain show-stealing 2-year-old to the left of her Royal Highness in the Annie Leibovitz photo.

Mia Tindall, the queen's rosy-cheeked great-granddaughter, captured the world's attention for inexplicably holding the queen's purse and looking very pleased about it. Now her father Mike Tindall (husband of Zara Phillips, the queen's granddaughter) has made the photo somehow even more precious by explaining the shot was the result of little Mia's "naughty" behavior.

Talking to Good Morning Britain, Mike elaborated, saying, "It just happened at the right time. She was being a bit naughty. The Queen got it quite right when she told her 'just hold the handbag now' and she did that. It ended up being a great photo of her."

'It just turned out to be the right photo at the right time and it will be something we'll always cherish, I think,' he added. 'She's got quite a little personality on her, and we encourage that."

I definitely encourage it too if it leads to more cute photos like this one. Keep it up, Mia!
