Malala Yousafzai has graced the world with some happy news: She's been accepted to the University of Oxford to study philosophy, politics, and economics, and she plans to attend at some point in the future.

In March, 20-year-old activist received a conditional offer to study Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Oxford's Lady Margaret Hall if she received three A grades on her A-Level exams (tests that determine whether a prospective undergraduate will earn a place at their preferred university). Malala is among many British students who found out the results of their A-Level exams Thursday.

Malala rose to international fame at 15 years old when she was almost killed by the Taliban for her efforts to help girls get an education in her home country Pakistan. She became the youngest Noble Peace prize winner in 2014. In April of this year, she became the youngest person to be named United Nations Messenger of Peace.

"I stood here on this stage almost three and a half years ago ... and I told the world that education is the basic human right of every girl," she said in her U.N Messenger of Peace acceptance speech. "And I stand here again today and say the same thing. Once you educate girls, you change the whole community, you change the whole society."
