How the Internet Rallied to Throw This Incredible Wheelchair-Bound Couple Their Dream Wedding

Daniel Creech met his girlfriend Belinda of 13 years at United Cerebral Palsy in Birmingham, Alabama. When he asked her to marry him this summer, he used a special communications device — neither Creech nor Belinda can speak much because of their CP. Creech's mother Cindy Cody was thrilled about the proposal but posted to Facebook she did not have the money to throw her son the wedding he deserved. To her surprise, hundreds of people began chipping in to help fund the wedding.

"I just want them to live as normal a life as possible and be as happy as possible," Cody told WMC Action News 5 of her son and his now-wife, who are both completely wheelchair-bound, after the wedding this weekend. She was blown away by the support and donations from everyone, total strangers included. She hadn't been asking for help, just for ideas.

Not only did people pay for the event space, Belinda's dress, the food, the rings, and the cake, without being asked, they also contributed to buying a special van and wheelchair ramps for the couple to be transported to and from the ceremony.

The photos from the weekend are gorgeous and emotional and perfect.

"Everything from the dresses, to the venue, to the food. It was so amazing," Cody told WMC. She also said everyone in attendance was crying — except for the bride and groom, who smiled the whole time.
