7 Signs You Should Break Up With a TV Show

Your favorite TV shows are wrapping up for winter hiatus and, if you're being honest with yourself, you know you're relieved you're getting a break from some of them. We all have those shows we just keep watching because of some bizarre loyalty, but maybe you should take this break as a chance to say good-bye forever. Here's how to know when it's time to break up with a show:

1. You consider rewatching episodes of a show you're watching instead of catching up on the latest episodes. This is the equivalent of drunk dialing an old boyfriend. Sure, it'll feel good in the moment but it says something big about your current relationship.

2. You skip episodes from time to time. Depending on the show, yes, you may be able to understand what's going on even if you pass over one or two, but this definitely means you've lost that lovin' feeling.

3. You forget who a character is and you don't Google it. You just hope they get killed off soon so you don't have to worry about it. This is called apathy, and your relationship won't survive it.

4. You don't even care about spoilers anymore. If you cared, you wouldn't read on, and you know it.

5. You scroll through Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook during the commercials breaks and don't even stop when it comes back on. Cold. Really cold.

6. It's the show that always puts your storage at capacity. There are the shows we must watch live and there are the shows that clog up the machine.

7. You've talked about it "jumping the shark" many times. If a shark has truly been jumped, you should say good-bye.
