This Boy is the Only Indian Who has Won an International Contest by Google!

Yathannsh Kulshreshtha, a grade 11 student from Jaipur has made the entire country proud. He is the only student from India who has won Google Code-in contest for the year 2015 by completing 49 arduous tasks in just 40 days!

As per a report by Hindustan Times, this whizz kid is amongst a handful of Indians to crack this contest in last seven years, and is the first one from Rajasthan. Yathannsh is now on seventh heaven for being invited to Google Headquarters in Mountain View, California and shared his excitement in an interview, "I have always dreamt about it. It would be an inspirational trip to the Google headquarters."

Google Code-in is a global competition held for pre-university students where the participants associate themselves with one of the open source organisations (endorsed by Google) and perform multiple tasks, including writing or refactoring code, training, quality, outreach, documentation, user interface enhancement and so on...

This competition was 49 days long and started on the 7th of December last year. It saw people coming in from  98 countries around the globe (a whole 2,700 Computer Science students in total), and the results came out on February 8.

Yathannsh is a student of Jayshree Periwal International School in Jaipur—and did we mention that he also happens to be a national level basketball player? #Tearsofpride
