Cobra Braids Are Blowing Up Like Crazy — Here's How You Can Get the Look

New York ​Fashion Week is coming to a close and I'm happy to report that the cobra braid —​ created by hairstylist and Aveda Guest Artist Jon Reyman —​ is refreshingly wearable.

Reyman created the look, based on the cobra knot you've seen in macramé or lanyard stitching,​ by first parting the model's hair down the middle. He then sectioned off three strands and secured the middle piece with an elastic. Intricate loops and knots were woven using the two sections that weren't included in the ponytail, and were pinned in place with bobby pins.
