But before there was Talvin, the cat-sitting, swan floating, snowman building couple we know and love, there was just Taylor and Calvin—two tall, beautiful, successful music stars entering an elevator with their mutual friends.

Ellie Goulding introduced the two backstage at the 2015 ELLE Style Awards, and now we have photographic evidence of their meet cute. (No T.Swift love story would be complete without one, after all.) Eagle-eyed Instagram user max.will.makes.music shared a picture he snapped of their first encounter that fateful February night, showing Goulding and Swift joining Harris and Sam Smith outside the elevator.
