Retaining its position at the top is Mysuru, Karnataka, as being the cleanest city in India, according to latest rankings by the Swacch Bharat Survekshan, based on a survey of areas under municipal bodies only.

It was followed by Chandigarh, and Tiruchirapalli (Tamil Nadu), New Delhi Municipal Corporation and Vishakapatnam secured the other spots in the top 5 of the list.

The cities that made it to the bottom are Varanasi, Patna, Itanagar, Asansol (West Bengal) and the dirtiest city of India is Dhanbad (Jharkhand).
