Indian Women's Football Team Wins Gold at the 12th South Asian Games, Beating Nepal 4-0!

The Indian national women's football team defeated Nepal 4-0 at the 12th South Asian Games (SAG) in Shillong, also bringing an end to India's top woman footballer, Bembem Devi's international career.

Ace striker Kamala Devi scored twice and Bala Devi, who was playing her first International football game, and Ashalata Devi also scored in the game, clinching the gold for Team India.

This is a major boost for women's football in India, especially after Rupa Devi being selected as India's first female referee for FIFA, and it's about time we start giving recognition to these amazing achievers who are striving so hard to bring India's name on the global forefront.
